Our Overdose Safety Planning Specialist Training is the cornerstone of our services. Based on an organizational assessment, we tailor a training program to meet the specific needs of your organization in screening for and addressing the risk of overdose. This includes an overview of our innovative overdose safety planning intervention, assessment of substance use and addictive disorders, and comprehension of the intricate relationship between behavioral health, medical wellness, and opioid use.

Typically, the training lasts between two and three hours and can be delivered in a single session or over the course of two separate sessions (depending on your preferred schedule), accommodating up to 25 participants. We will use dynamic approaches, such as simulation methods, clinical vignettes, and interactive exercises, to engage staff and provide opportunities for practice and receive immediate feedback. After successfully completing the training, participants will be certified as specialists in overdose safety planning. In addition, they will have access to the Overdose Safety Planning Provider Toolkit, which contains PDF versions of essential tools and supplementary materials.
